Biography - Why DrLuke?

You might be wondering why DrLuke?

During my first missions trip to West Africa with Pastor Raymand Lombard, I quickly realized that the French speaking West Africans are not going to able to say my name. That is when Pastor Raymond told them that as the the doctor in the Bible that traveled with the missionary, so we are travelling together on missions. The name Dr Luke was born.

During almost 10 years of working in a Neuro and Orthopaedic rehab unit, I saw many sick patients, many brain injuries, many stroke victims and yes many deaths. The following quotation from the very man that traveled with Dr Luke almost 2000 years ago gave me hope and made me look at life very differently.

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
